How to Clean Your Car – 16 Steps Made Easy

Clueless how to clean your car properly? With an ample amount of patience and by using the right clothes, washing your car can actually be quite meditative – and even relaxing.

The following are steps on how to clean to your car.

  1. Organize and prepare all the needed cleaning tools near you to know where everything is.
  2. Let your car rest in a shady area and leave it there to cool.
  3. Roll up your car’s window tightly and securely shut all its doors.
  4. Pour some soap into a bucket until the water inside gets bubbly and soapy.
  5. Rinse your car using a hose, and start cleaning its roof all the way down to its tires. Make sure you rinse off the loose dust, dirt or grime.
  6. Use a soft cloth and wipe your car starting again from the roof working your way down. You can also use a sudsy sponge or a clean rag.
  7. Don’t forget to wash its windows and tires.
  8. Remember to always rinse your sponge or cloth with clean water after wiping down its lower section.
  9. You can use a small rag to clean its tires.
  10. Rinse of all the soap in the car by using a hose.
  11. Rinse lastly its tires and remove all the soap it still has.
  12. After completely rinsing the car, allow the car to dry. You can also use a clean cloth to fasten the drying process.
  13. Apply a polish to its buffer pad. This will prevent and scrub off oxidation that regular wax can’t remove.
  14. Buff your car and then apply a high quality wax, highly preferred for a glossy appearance, using your hands.
  15. For the car’s tires. You can use tire shine to buff its appearance a little. Just be careful not to overspray it.
  16. Finally, you can apply trim preservatives to smoothen its trims.
